Forging Ahead to New Beginnings

Forging Ahead to New Beginnings Within the coming weeks I will be thinking about what the changes will be in regards to the next “live” online classes that are coming up. My focus will be slightly different because I think that my combinations are a bit complicated and laborious. So I am going to overhaul my curriculum to fit in drills and combinations that can be followed with more ease.  I will also be focusing on elements of dance that I feel are important. For the intermediate to advanced students I will be working on the relation from body to music and showcase the different options there are with “Opposition dancing.” This should be fun and I already have ideas coming to me left and right.

Also I am thinking of doing a belly dance aerobics class called “Belly Stretch/Thrust and Roll.” It will be for women who want to exercise and get in some good dance moves that will focus on specific areas of the body.

Many women write to us and mention their health and weight issues so we will be working with Dr. Joe Robaina.      Dr. Joe Robaina is a fitness trainer and nutritionist helping clients get in the best shape of their life in 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week by combining high intensity training and teaching them how to eat for maximum fat loss. Joe and I will be working together to create an exciting way to lose weight plus keep up with your dance training. This means I will be up front and doing all of Joes recommendations with you. Adding to this Joe and I will be getting ready to put together a high intensity Belly Dance Work Out video that will get your blood pumping and make you sweat.

I will be adding new videos to my catolog that will include cane, veil and finger symbols. Since so many women have asked me, I am finally going to put together a drum solo video to music that was composed for me by Issa Malluf. Both video and music will be available. Of course all of this is going to take time but as you can see we are working on making this an exciting year for you.

But that’s not all….drum roll please, I will be working on my own radio talk show called “Bellyache” radio and my first guest will be Dr. Joe Robaina. You will be able to access my radio show from the Belly Dance Village membership site. So get ready for talk radio that will be exciting, informative and full of the hottest topics of the day for women.

I am excited about our plans for this year and I hope you enjoy the changes and wonderful things that we have added to make your dance journey not just a walk in the park but a carnival of fun and excitement!
